Yokoso!

Japan has always inspired and enchanted me. I traveled to Japan on numerous occasions in my youth to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. As an adult, my husband and I moved to Shizuoka, Japan to teach in the JET Program. To conclude our amazing year in Japan, we climbed Mt.Fuji, and shortly thereafter discovered we were expecting our first baby.

When we returned to our home in Spokane, Washington, I searched the local stores and the Internet for Japanese themed clothing for our baby. Not finding any, I set out to create a line of clothing and products filled with the same spirit of Japan that so inspired me. With the technical genius of my cousin Darin-Sama and the loving support of my husband Brian Sensei, we were able to bring the vision of Bento Baby products to life.

I consider our little boy a ninja baby. Although he is one-quarter Japanese, to our surprise, he has blue eyes and blond hair. I am sure he will have more surprises in store for us.
